I have 17 years experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I started my social work career in 2000 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). I was the Assistant Director of the Student Mental Health Service. I helped medical students, and pharmacy students with a wide variety of mental health issues. I became well experienced in treating test anxiety, generalized anxiety, depressive disorders, stress management, adjustment issues and loss. I left UAMS in 2005 to pursue my dream of starting my own private practice.
In my private practice I have a passion for working with adults who have grown up with adversity (trauma, neglect, poverty and addiction). I have experience in treating emotional/disordered eating. In 2004, I completed advanced clinical training in relationship therapy from the Gottman Institute in Seattle Washington.
My private practice is located in the Midtown area of Little Rock, Arkansas. Being in solo private practice insures the utmost in confidentiality. No crowded waiting room.
I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1998 and a Masters degree in Social Work in 2000.
I am a Arkansas Board Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
In 2017 I was appointed by the Governor of Arkansas to serve for three years on the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board. I am currently serving as Secretary of the board.
